This transfer portal continues to be wild as so many teams are getting blown up with guys wanting to leave their schools and follow the money.  The NIL is completely transforming collegiate athletics and it makes it very frustrating for these coaches to try and keep their players and go out and recruit new ones.  It goes completely against old school recruiting and trying to get freshman to your program for as long as possible.  Siena needs to find a new head coach here soon and all signs are still pointing toward current Syracuse Associate Head Coach Gerry McNamara as the next guy.  UAlbany's Dwayne Killings has some work to do too as several of his players have already entered the transfer portal.  Below is my quick take on this from The Times Union:

UAlbany men’s basketball coach Dwayne Killings has some work to do this offseason because DK lost a lot of his offense to the transfer portal. The biggest loss was Junior guard Sebastian Thomas who averaged 19 points per game and was one of the best players in the America East Conference. But Amare Marshall and Jonathan Beagle also entered the portal, and both were double digits scorers for the Great Danes. It's all part of the world college coaches live in, but it doesn't make it any easier to replace players that you helped develop.

I sure would not want to be a head coach in today's day and age as you basically are a general manager too.  Best of luck to our local coaches and coaches across the country as this is a mess and won't be changing anytime soon.
