Just Looking At The Yankees’ 2021 Schedule Gives Me Hope
After what COVID-19 did to sports in 2020 it's great to see 2021 schedules start to come out. The New York Yankees have been a staple of my summers since I was a child. Before last year I hadn't missed seeing at least one game in person since 2001. With restrictions in New York being slowly lifted this schedule from the Yankees has me truly looking forward to something for the first time in almost a year.
It's important to remember things can change fast so none of us can get too excited but every day more start times are added to the Yankees' regular-season schedule. So here I am getting excited. I've already printed the Yankees tentative schedule and hung it on my office wall.
Looking at the ESPN.com schedule I'm already picturing opening day when the Yankees host the Blue Jays on April 1st. Or July 4th weekend when the Mets come to the Bronx. The second half of the season is heavy with Red Sox matchups and the Yankees at Citi Field against the Mets for the 20 anniversary of 9/11.
I'm even excited about the Spring Training schedule!
What games have you already circled mentally? I personally can't wait to hear John Sterling and Suzan Waldman paint the picture of ANY Yankees game on 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio.
