Anyone that saw Ian Anderson pitch at Shenendehowa High School could clearly see the potential to be a big league pitcher. Since being selected 3rd overall in the 2016 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves Anderson has added the work needed to turn potential into being one of the top prospects in all of baseball. Anderson has recently climbed to 30 on ESPN Senior Writer Keith Law's Top 100 prospects list.

When you consider just how many players their are in the Minor Leagues being in Law's Top 100 is a pretty big achievement all by itself but then when you see the glowing praise from Law about Ian Anderson you can't help but get excited about his future. Keith Law is respected as one of the top scouting minds in baseball so when he points out all the great things about Shen's Ian Anderson it really resonates.

Anderson has always had a good arm, but 2018 was the year he became a more complete pitcher, throwing more and better strikes (cutting his walk rate from 12.1 to 9.9 percent despite two promotions), going from a barely there changeup in 2016 to an occasionally plus change last year and staying healthy for 24 starts
