Knicks fans are hoping for a trade this year to bring in a point guard before the deadline. Marc Berman of the New York Post says one might have to wait a little longer than that.

"I’m looking not so much as a trade but one more big free agent signing in the summer,
said Berman, to "Armen and Levack", on 104.5 The Team. "For instance, Mike Conley of Memphis, point guard, I think he has the mentality to play in New York. They’re going to have the cap space, close to maximum cap space."

The 28-year old Conley is currently averaging 15 points per game this season, up from the 13.4 points that he has averaged over his eight year career.

New York is definitely in need of a point guard as that's their weakest position with Carmelo Anthony finally having a running mate in rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis.

"I think they’re one big addition away from being a real dangerous team."
