There is an Urban Legend that the league rigged the 1985 Lottery by "Freezing the Envelope" to ensure the Knicks would get Ewing. I don't know if that's true but here's hoping whatever tricks, magic or luck worked in the Knicks favor then do it now. If Patrick Ewing is there when the Knicks lock up the top pick and by top pick I mean Zion Williamson, the legend of Ewing will grow even stronger.
