NBA commissioner David Stern has announced that there will not be a full NBA season because of the ongoing labor dispute.  Multiple weeks of the regular season have already been cancelled.  There are a lot of fans who fall into the trap of thinking that everything is about the money, that everyone is greedy, and that no one truly cares about the game.

This is a business notation.  If you accept less money than you're worth, you are making a bad business decision.  This applies to the player's side.  This also applies to the owner's side.  You're not a good businessman if you accept less than you're worth.  Oftentimes it makes you a sucker.

Many fans lose sight of the fact that the players still love the game of basketball although they are currently fighting for money.  That's what you do in a business negotiation.  You fight for money.  It doesn't mean that D-Wade, Melo, and CP3 don't love the game of basketball.  Don't confuse the two.
