The Section 2 champions have been crowned. The celebrations were fun but it is back to business for some Capital Region high school boys basketball teams. The next goal will be winning a state championship. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has set the brackets. Let's see who, when and where are the Capital Region champions going.

In Class AA boys basketball regional, Section 2 winner Green Tech will take on Section 3 champ Liverpool. That game will be on Saturday at 12:45pm at Hudson Valley Community College.

The boys Class A regional for Section 2 champion Mekeel Christian Academy will be on Saturday at HVCC at 11am. They will face the winner of Wednesday's game between Section 3 winner New Hartford and Section 10 champ Franklin Academy.

In the Class B boys regional, Section 2 champ Icabod Crane, led by head coach Will Ferguson, who joined The Drive with Charlie & Dan last week prior to their championship victory, will travel to play Section 7 winner Plattsburgh at Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh. That game will be a 7pm tip-off on Saturday.

In the Class C regional for the boys, Section 2 champion Stillwater, led by another friend of The Drive, Bruce Lilac, will take on the winner of Wednesday's game between Section 7 winner Moriah and Section 10 winner Madrid-Waddington. Stillwater's game will be on Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm at HVCC.

The Class D regional opponent for Section 2 champ Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville will be Section 7 winner Seton Catholic Central. That game will be on Saturday at Clinton Community College.
