
Oregon Wins Rose Bowl Shootout 45-38 Over Wisconsin
It was a high scoring affair between Oregon and Wisconsin in last nights Rose Bowl. It was back and fourth, but Oregon comes out on top 45-38. The last time the Oregon Ducks won a Rose Bowl was in 1917. They had made it to the Rose Bowl 3 other times between then and now, but always came up short. Not the case this time. While Wisconsin put up a fight, Oregon came out the winner this year by a score of 45-38.
Oregon's running game was on last night as LeMicheal James ran for 159 yards a TD and De'Anthony Thomas had 155 yards on just two carries, he would score twice. The Ducks QB Derron Thomas would also have a big game, throwing for 268 yards, three TDs and one interception. Two of those TD passes went to Oregon receiver Lavasier Tuinei who caught 8 passes for 158 yards.
Despite coming up short, Wisconsin put up some big stats too. Running back Monte Ball rushed for 164 yards and a score. 296 yards and two TDs for Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson. Two Badger receivers had over 100 yards receiving, Nick Toon with 104 and Jared Abbrederis with 119.
