Packers Coach Says Eddie Lacy Needs To Lose Weight

Just days after losing in the Divisional round to the Arizona Cardinals 26-20 Packers Running Back Eddie Lacy got more bad news, his coach called him fat. Well not in so many words but Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said "Eddie Lacy, he's got a lot of work to do. His off season last year was not good enough, and he never recovered from it, He cannot play at the weight he was at this year."

Lacy had been benched twice this season for lack of production so it's no surprise the hefty running back is in McCarthy's doghouse. However McCarthy rarely calls his players out in public.ESPN.com lists Lacy as 5'11 234 lbs.

Lacy still has a year left on his rookie contract so it would make sense to him financially to give it all he has this year. The second contract is typically the one players make the most money on.
