There's nothing in sports that says "good game" quite like a few bare-knuckled haymakers just before time expires.

Ahh, yes, a good ole hockey brawl.  You gotta love it.  It's good for the soul.  After Pittsburgh's Joe Vitale knocked Daniel Briere of the Philadelphia Flyers flying, the fight was on.  There was also a war of words between coaches.  Philadelphia head coach Peter LaViolette was seen yelling at Pittsburgh assistant coach Tony Granato.  Am I the only one who finds this odd?  It seems odd that an argument would take place between a head coach and a non-head coach.

By the way, how about professional hockey and collegiate hockey being so different when it comes to fighting?  You routinely see fisticuffs in the NHL, but hardly ever see fights during college hockey games.  When Union College Hockey is back in action this Thursday against Ferris State, you won't see any fights.  Union College will face Ferris State in the Frozen Four in Tampa at 4:30pm.
