Richard Sherman's post-game comments to Erin Andrews regarding Michael Crabtree has gone viral.

In case you've missed it:

On Monday, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll had his weekly radio show on 710 ESPN Seattle and was asked about what Sherman said.

"His mental makeup to get ready for that match-up was expressed right there," said Carroll. "He had to get that mindset so that he could play the way he could play. Unfortunately, he shared it with the world and it didn't come across so well.

"We ain't perfect and we make mistakes and things don't always come out the way we planned.

"In a time like that, that was kind of representing yourself a little bit. How we handle that is we try to grow and learn and work our way through who we are. And figure out who we want to be and how we want to project and learn.

"This was an extraordinary learning opportunity and so hopefully you'll see some benefits from this."
