Write it down, take a picture spread the word: it is official. Phil Jackson will be back in Madison Square Garden, this time not as a coach, not as a player, but the head of the Knicks' front office.

Tuesday at 11 a.m. will be the official press conference.

Phil Jackson (68) won a title with the Knicks in 1973, but that was a long time ago. The hope of many Knicks fans is that Jackson comes in and takes full control of all basketball operations. Everything in the Knicks' past and James Dolan would point to the contrary.

This isn't  Donnie Walsh or Steve Mills though.

Phil Jackson is the "Zen Master" and will not be told what to do by any owner or other basketball mind. He is one of the most respected men in the history of the sport of basketball.

If you're a Knicks fan, I would be nothing but happy and excited for your future.
