Picturesque Upstate New York Region Among Nation’s Best for Wine
The term picturesque isn't thrown around often, so when you do hear it used to describe a place, you know that the place in-question must be pretty spectacular. That's the term that New York Upstate used to describe an Upstate New York region, one which was recently included in a readers poll of the best regions in the country for those who love a glass of wine.
Whether you prefer red, white, rose or something with bubbles, this region will certainly have the place for you.
Upstate New York Region Named Among Nation's Best for Wine Lovers
New York Upstate shared the news that the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York was recently included in USA Today's 10 Best list of the best wine regions in the country. The "10Best" lists are USA Today's readers polls, meaning that real people read the list and voted accordingly, and the Finger Lakes region was among the most popular.
The Finger Lakes finished as the fourth-most popular wine region in the country, according to readers of USA Today. Here is the complete list of the top ten:

- Temecula Valley - California
- Grand Valley - Colorado
- Finger Lakes - New York
- Augusta - Missouri
- Snake River Valley - Idaho/Oregon
- Walla Walla Valley - Washington
- Crest of the Blue Ridge Henderson County - North Carolina
- Dahlonega Plateau - Georgia
- Texas Hill Country - Texas
A list of hundreds of wine-producing regions was narrowed down by a panel of experts, after which USA Today readers were asked to cast their votes.
