On November 3rd, Popeyes re-released their highly coveted chicken sandwich. Over the past week the nation has been in a frenzy to get their hands on the crispy, buttery and tender sandwich that a lot of people are raving over. There's a debate raging on who has a better chicken sandwich, Popeyes or Chick-fil-A, but being in the Capital Region, we have to literally book an outgoing flight at the Albany International Airport to try a Chick-fil-A sandwich.

With that being said we are just left to one option and there are currently three Popeyes locations in the Capital Region, Albany, Schenectady an Troy. I went to all three to see what the going rate is on one of these sandwiches. I did not want to wait in line, instead I tried my luck bartering with patrons in the parking lot to see what it would cost me to purchase the sandwich they just waited for.

I can honestly say that I wasn't ready for how people reacted to a random stranger asking to buy their meals from them. There were many mixed reactions from all types of people, but the overall theme was that people wanted this sandwich and were willing to wait a long time for it.

I'm not sure if the sandwich is here to stay or if Popeyes will have to pull it off the shelf because of the chaos, but I got to the bottom of what it would cost to just walk right up and buy a sandwich from a stranger in Albany, Schenectady and Troy.
