Rangers Have First-Round Pick at Stake In Tomorrow’s Game 7
The NHL playoffs have been full of exciting games this year even if you don't have a rooting interest, but tomorrow night, Tuesday at 8:00 PM, we New York Rangers fans have an extra reason to pay attention.
You probably remember the somewhat bizarre Mats Zuccarello trade toward the end of the season that was filled with conditional picks. The second-round pick in the 2019 draft that the Rangers secured in the deal will be upgraded to a first-round pick if the Stars make the Western Conference Finals. That means the Rangers draft pick comes down to a game seven and the team will just have to sit back and watch while the Stars and Blues decide their fate on the ice.
After the injury Zuccarello suffered right after his trade, he has come back strong and played an important role in Dallas's postseason success. He has 3 goals and 7 assists in the playoffs this year, with a +2 +/-. He's overdue for a goal despite having wracking up 6 assists in the Stars-Blues series so far so let's hope he gets out on the ice and does his former team a solid on Tuesday night.
The Dallas Stars v. St. Louis Blues is broadcast on NBCSN tomorrow night at 8:00 PM.
