Rangers Outlast Capitals, 2-1

It took three overtimes, but the New York Rangers were able to get by the Washington Capitals in game three 2-1.

Once again, Henrick Lundqvist was fantastic for the New York Rangers.  He was able to hold off 45 shots, and thanks to a game winner from Marian Gaborik in the third overtime, his work in the goal was not wasted.

The Rangers took 49 shots against Washington goalie Braden Holtby, and two of them got past him.  So far, the goalies have been key in this series, and they will continue to be.  The Rangers now lead the series 2-1.  Game four from Washington will be Saturday afternoon at 12:30p .  We can think of no better way to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.
