Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Don Mattingly, Derek Jeter and now Robinson Cano.  Those are the only five Yankees to collect 1,500 hits before the age of 31.Cano went 2-4 with a home run in a big 3-1 win for New York over the Rockies which also helped win the series 2-1.  This series could have gotten ugly after the Yanks lost game one in which the lineup was lifeless against Jorge De La Rosa.  But the Yankees rebounded to win the next two.  And in game three it was CC Sabathia with the win, Mariano Rivera with the save and Cano with the big two hits including a home run.

And in the process, his 1,500th hit.  He is halfway home to 3,000 hits.  3,000 should be attainable if Cano stays healthy.  And we know where 3,000-hit guys go.  Straight to Cooperstown.
