Saratoga Is My 2nd Favorite Place on Earth-Barstool's Dave Port

This year’s Opening Night ceremonies was filled players, coaches, celebrities, media members and more. During the intermission break between the team’s media sessions I was able to speak with Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy. The “El Presidente” of Barstool Sports discussed how Saratoga, NY is his second favorite place in the world.

" Goz: Dave Portnoy here with us from Barstool Sports, so man I Know you’re big in Saratoga tell us your favorite parts about our part of the Capital Region
Dave: I mean I love Saratoga I love everything about it. I only like it in the summer but it’s probably my second favorite place on Earth.
Goz: Really?
Dave: Yea
Goz: Besides Boston?
Dave: Nantucket one, Saratoga two.
Goz: So let’s talk about your horses what are you running I know it’s all the way out in August but what are your plans?
Dave: I mean I’ve had one horse win in Saratoga, I wasn’t there when the horse won, I was there a week before for a different one, so the dream is to get a photo in the winner’s circle at Saratoga."

As Portnoy noted, his horses have never won when he was there. If you missed it, last year Portnoy and Barstool Sports invaded Saratoga for their “One Bite Pizza Challenge.” We are hoping to see Portnoy and the rest of the Barstool team at Saratoga Race Track again this summer.
