After amassing 41 wins and going 14-4 in the SUNYAC play, the Cortland baseball team is headed off to the Division III Baseball World Series in Wisconsin.

The Red Dragons won the New York Regional by beating Susquehanna in the championship. They also took down Castleton, Frostburg St. and Ramapo earlier in the tournament.

The team is led offensively by Niskayuna native Austin Clock, who is hitting .353 this year with four home runs and 39 RBIs. Playing first base, the big lefty is one of several power options in the Cortland lineup. The team has 23 home runs on the year and Clock is tied for the team lead.

Clock isn't the only Section II native on the World Series roster. Jesse Winters from Spa Catholic, and Dom DeMarco of Shaker are also on the team.

Cortland won the National Championship a season ago and will open up World Series play on Friday at 10 a.m. (CT) against Emory.
