On Monday morning when the new AP Poll came out, the Northwestern University Wildcats found themselves in the No. 23 spot after a 41-0 rout of Eastern Illinois.

And in that win for the Wildcats was this big run by Shenendehowa graduate Corey Acker.

Acker has five carries for 57 yards on the season to this point. All five of his carries on the year came in the blowout win against Eastern Illinois.

Northwestern is 2-0 on the year after beating Stanford in the opener. The Wildcats will take on Duke in Week 3.

Acker excelled for Shenendehowa throughout his high school career. His great speed is his biggest weapon and you saw it on full display during this run. Acker is able to take the ball up the middle, but was also able to get to the edge when he needed to.

He was just a yard shy of the touchdown. Acker is not the only Section II product playing in the Big 10. Phillip-Michael Williams (Ballston Spa) suits up for Michigan State while Jordan Canzeri (Troy) plays for Iowa.
