A Shenendehowa hockey player scored an unbelievable goal over the weekend splitting two defenders and then somehow managing to flick a wrist shot past the goalie - all while on his butt!

Watch the incredible "butt goal," one of 4 scored in the game by Shen senior Nolan Sullivan, below!

Nolan Sullivan's amazing goal, which he scored while on his butt, ended up being the top play, #1 on ESPN's nightly highlight countdown Sunday, and deservedly so.

It was an incredible shot certainly worthy of national praise and it helped Shen to a 6-2 victory in the sectionals over Albany Academy.   Shortly after the goal was scored, those who saw it started tagging ESPN and hashtagging "Top Plays" to help it get noticed.  And it did!

Here's what the Shen Athletic Department tweeted out on Monday, and while they were beaming with pride over the ESPN attention, they couldn't ignore the mispronunciation of their school's name, correcting the announcer who butchered it not once, but twice.

And what a night it was for Shen senior Nolan Sullivan who finished with 4 goals and 2 assists as Shen beat Albany Academy 6-2.

Shen returns to action on Tuesday night in the Section 2 Championship at Union College.
