In what is the oldest rivalry game in New York state college football history, Union and RPI met in the regular season's final week for the eighth straight season. On the line for the Dutchmen was a perfect regular season; the first for Union since 2005.

Four years ago, Jeff Behrman inherited an 0-10 football team and now a win over rival RPI would flip that record for the Dutchmen who are already headed to the playoffs by way of the Liberty League title.

The Dutchman Shoes game is always one of the most-anticipated games in the Capital Region every year and Union showed up in a big way. Behrman's squad, led by three rushing touchdowns from Ike Irabor, shutout the Engineers, 33-0. The victory not only gives the Dutchmen that perfect regular season at 10-0, but it also keeps the Shoes in Schenectady for a second straight year.

Union will learn its NCAA tournament first round opponent on Sunday during the selection show at 5:30pm.
