Not a lot can be gained by rookie quarterback Zach Wilson returning behind center in an NFL game, until new head coach Robert Saleh and general manager squarely on the hot seat, Joe Douglas are positive he is ready. They appear to be making the right decision. The young quarterback can gain more from the sidelines for now.

When I first posed the question "Did the New York Jets Get It Wrong Again?" to a long time Jets fan, he immediately responded, "Which "it"?" At first, I was a bit surprised that he didn't know I was referring to the team's number one draft pick in April, Zach Wilson. Then I realized, he knew. He was just making the point that Gang Green fans may be reliving 2018 all over again.

We've had roughly 24 hours to digest the New York Jets' abysmal performance against the Patriots. With the dust now having settled, let's point some fingers.

Meanwhile, every reporter and insider is reading into every single morsel of information trying to predict what will happen from Thursday, April 29th to Saturday, May 1st in Cleveland, Ohio. I say all of that to say this, just because Jets GM Joe Douglas went to BYU QB Zach Wilson's pro-day doesn't mean they're 100% drafting him with the second overall pick of the draft.

The New York Jets have found their man. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Shefter is reporting that the Jets have reached a five year agreement with former San Francisco 49ers Defensive Coordinator Robert Saleh. Saleh was on just about every team with a head coaching vacancies short list and one of two coaches the Jets met with in person.

I can hear the fans of the New York Jets now screaming how badly they don't want former Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson as their new coach. So I realize what I'm about to say will ruffle some feathers (eagle pun intended) but Doug Pederson might be the perfect candidate for the new head coach of Gang Green.

Reports are circulating that the New York Jets believe they will sign Defensive Back Logan Ryan. Ryan is no stranger to the AFC East after spending his first four seasons in New England with the Patriots. New York Daily News' Manish Mehta is reporting that his sources confirm the Jets think they'll land the two time Super Bowl Champion.
