Comedian Bill Burr took to the airwaves at the Boston Red Sox game last night, and had a few things to say about New York Yankees' legend, Derek Jeter.

My thought is there will be three teams in the running for one of the most talented baseball players on the planet, Robinson Cano.

There are so many fantasy scenarios going on with the Yankees it isn't even funny.  It's turned into "Dreamland" in the Bronx.  They aren't just playing baseball, and bad baseball at that.  They are giving people around the game the idea that things are getting better or that a scenario is going to play out soon when it has no chance.   Here are some examples.

Just having the nonsense with Alex Rodriguez would be enough to tarnish a season for the New York Yankees, even one in which they made the playoffs and fought for the American League flag.  But on top of that you have so many other things that have gone wrong.

The Yankees are projected for 87 wins.  They have 26 games in the second half against the Rays, Orioles and Red Sox with 12 against Boston.  How can the Yanks make the playoffs for the 18th time in 19 seasons?  Here is how:

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said all along that he wanted 12 pitchers when Andy Pettitte came back (the veteran will return against Cleveland on Monday, June 3).  The other issue was the return of Kevin Youkilis and Mark Teixeira.

Derek Jeter has begun at least one baseball activity, throwing, at Yankee Stadium.  The Yankee captain isn't allowed to do anything else until he gets a CT scan sometime in the next week and a half.

To say the injuries are piling up understates piling up. This time it is 1st baseman Mark Teixeira that goes down injured and he won't be around for a long stretch. The Yanks announced that "Tex" has a wrist injury and will miss 8-10 weeks...
