Hockey is a looooong season and while of course there was no fear about not winning a game you don't want to go win less for long. Thanks to a solid effort in Worcester Saturday night that won't happen and the Devs get into the win column.

Thanks to a stellar effort by goalie Keith Kinkaid who stopped all 30 shits the Devils shutout Worcester 4-0 in their 1st road contest of the season. The Devils are now 1-2 on the very young season.

Kinkaid helped back a strong penalty kill. Worcester failed to net a goal in 9 power play chances, a marked improvement over the 1st 2 games this year. Albany's PP wasn't anything special but it did net a goal in 6 tries.

Sharks goalie Harri Sateri gave up 2 goals in the 1st period. Adam Henrique, back with Albany while the nhl'ers sit opened the scoring 8:53 into the 1st. Harri Pesonen scored the 2nd tally with 5;40 left in the period.

Jacob Josefson did the rest of the scoring with a goal in the 2nd and a goal in the 3rd. Defenseman  Adam Larrson dished 2 helpers. The PP goal by Pesonen was the 1st man advantage goal of the year by Albany.

The Devils return to home ice on Wednesday with a match against the NY Rangers top farm club, the Connecticut Whale. Face off is 7:05pm at the Times Union Center
