Tonight’s Game Could Decide The AFC Playoff Picture
There was a time when Thursday Night Football seemed like a waste of time. Almost every game was unappealing and the "Color Rush" uniforms angered more fans then they entertained. This year has been the complete opposite. Sure there were some stinkers but most Thursday Night NFL games have been exciting and carried real ramifications. Tonight is no exception as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Los Angeles Chargers with major playoff ramifications on the line.
The Chiefs have the best record in the AFC and a win over the AFC West rival Chargers could all but lock up the West and possibly home field advantage throughout the playoffs. That would force teams like the Patriots to come to Arrowhead if they want to return to the Super Bowl. The Chiefs' home field advantage is one of the best in the NFL but tonight they face a team that doesn't really know what home field advantage is. The Chargers play in a soccer stadium now that they're in LA and the home "crowds" pale in comparison to KC's. Before you feel sorry for the Chargers, DON'T! I think that will actually benefit them tonight and the Chargers will upset the Chiefs.
