The Philadelphia Eagles Are Super Bowl Champions
The Philadelphia Eagles blew out the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. The final score was 40-22 and KC was out of it from the very beginning. Head coach Nick Sirianni deserves a ton of credit and finally got his super bowl victory. The Eagles defense made Patrick Mahomes look pedestrian. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
Watch out for the Philadelphia Eagles because they will bring back the same team next year. The Eagles had the best roster in the league all season, and after Week 4 played like the most complete team. When you have the best lines on both sides of the ball and a running back named Saquon Barkley you're going to win a lot of games. And when you slow down Barkley like Kansas City did in the Super Bowl you quickly see how good quarterback Jalen Hurts is with two of the best receivers in game to throw too. A. J. Brown and DeVonta Smith give Hurts two outstanding targets. And honestly, it was just refreshing to see a team not named Kansas City win the Super Bowl, even with history on the line.

Now it is on to the offseason where Philly could honestly repeat as Super Bowl champions. They are loaded and most of their starters are coming back. I am super happy for Saquon Barkley as he had a fully healthy season and had one of the greatest seasons in NFL history.
