The U.S. women's basketball team was able to win Olympic gold with ease against France on Saturday.  The U.S. hoops team beat France 86-50 in the gold medal game.  The U.S. women set two records by winning a fifth-straight Olympic gold medal along with winning their 41st consecutive game in Olympic play.

Team USA led France by 12 points at halftime 37-25.  The U.S. was able to outscore France 49-25 in the second half.  Candace Parker scored a game-high 21 points.  Parker also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with her two assists and one block.

Sue Bird scored 11 points while Diana Taurasi scored nine points to go along with her game-high seven assists.  The U.S. men's basketball team will also go for gold on Sunday against Spain at 10am ET.  The U.S. men's hoops team has 49 consecutive wins in international play, including 16 in the Olympics.
