UAlbany’s Search for Answers w/Young, Inexperienced Team
Following a 66-62 loss to previously 2-15 Maine, UAlbany's search for a third consistent scorer continues. While the visiting Black Bears had some surprising success shooting the ball on Saturday afternoon at SEFCU Arena, UAlbany head coach Will Brown didn't harp on his team's defense, but rather its inability to score.
Ahmad Clark and Cameron Healy are known offensive quantities for the Great Danes. Clark scored 22 points and Healy added 15, but it's the next man who has too often been invisible this season. Sometimes it's Adam Lulka. Sometimes it's Antonio Rizzuto and then the Danes occasionally get contributions significant enough from Devonte Campbell. Two of those three names listed are freshmen, one of which is a true freshmen.
The loss to Maine drops UAlbany to 0-2 in America East play this season with two road games coming up this week; at UMass-Lowell on Wednesday and at UMBC on Saturday.
