Nick Tanielu, Tri-City ValleyCats third baseman and the Astros 2014 14th-round draft pick, earned MVP at the New York-Penn League All-Star Game on Tuesday night in Brooklyn.

Tanielu, a right-handed hitter with good power, was 3-3 on the night. He also drove in the lone run for the North team in what ended up being a 1-1 tie.

He singled in his first two at-bats, and then brought home the run in the fifth with a soft liner to right. You can watch it below.

Tanielu is hitting .307 for the year with a team-best 37 RBIs. He is a major reason why the 'Cats sit atop the NYPL with a 42-21 record. They resume play tonight at Joe Bruno Stadium against the Vermont Lake Monsters.
