Not everyone completely agrees on how Giants first round draft pick Ereck Flowers would best fit on the G-Men's line.

While Giants offensive lineman Geoff Schwatz told Armen and Levack that right now it makes the most sense that Flowers is at right tackle, next to him at right guard, Jordan Raanan of NJ.com gave a different take on 104.5 The Team:

I don’t think he is 100% going to be the right tackle. Playing tackle in the NFL is a very difficult thing. Justin Pugh in his third year may be a better tackle than Flowers in year one.  That goes for pretty much any offensive lineman coming out of the draft. Pugh has proven that he can play, we still need to see how things play out for Flowers."

If Flowers is able to take over the right tackle spot, where Pugh played last year, then the Syracuse product would move to the left guard position, previously taken by John Jerry.

Whether it's on the interior of the line or not, one thing that most people can agree on, the expectations for Flowers out of the gate are very high.

"Flowers can play inside at guard or outside at tackle," said Raanan, "I do expect him to start week one."

Flowers was present at the Giants first rookie camp workout on Friday, where ironically, he got reps at the left tackle position. Don't look into this too much as the team is lacking bodies at the rookie camp, although maybe the new big man is already getting comfortable on the outside.
