The Knicks made waves today when they fired Derek Fisher after less than two full seasons at the helm of the team. The Knicks are 23-31 after losing nine of the last 10 games.

This start comes on the heels of a 17-65 season in Fisher's first campaign.

But why now? Why fire him before the all-star break? We brought in Marc Berman of the New York Post to give us the story:

He said that Fisher and Phil Jackson's personalities seem to clash and that Fisher was not creating a fun culture to play in. Kurt Rambis is the interim head coach. What went in to that decision? Does Rambis have an opportunity to hold the job permanently when the season ends?

Also, does Phil Jackson have a chance at coming down and sitting on the Knicks bench? Does Mark Jackson have a chance at getting the job next season? How about Luke Walton.
