Will Brown is one of only three head coaches in the 20-plus-year history of Division I basketball at UAlbany, but the successes of others in that era pale in comparison to those of the Long Island native.

Brown already owns significant space in the America East record books; his five NCAA Tournament appearances are tied for the most by a head coach in conference history. On Saturday night, Brown carved out some more space in UAlbany's annals.

A three-game losing streak put the celebration of 300 wins with the Great Danes on hold until UAlbany hosted Niagara. As a side note, those three losses came to Yale, Bucknell and Boston College.

A red-hot shooting second half by UAlbany against the Purple Eagles pushed Will Brown from 299 wins over the threshold to 300. The Great Danes made 74 percent of their shots in the second half to overcome an 11-point deficit in the 84-80 win.

Next up for UAlbany and potential win number 301 is a four-game road trip: at St. John's, Monmouth, Columbia and the conference opener at Binghamton.
