Earlier this week, Heisman Trophy winning quarterback and former NFL first round draft pick Johnny Manziel had been signed by the Alliance American Football League and assigned to the Memphis Express. The general manger of the Memphis Express Will Lewis said this about Manziel's chances to play this weekend to the USA Today

In most cases when you get into a situation like this, you have to figure out how familiar the new guy is with what (offensive system) you’re running,” =And that’s part of the initial conversations and more conversations that will take place (Monday and Tuesday). I think you can give him some things he can execute at a good level,” he said. “But you don’t want to throw him out there before he is ready just because people want to see him. I think there was some of that in Canada. So you want to make sure he’s prepared and set up for success

The Express will host the Birmingham Iron at 8pm on Sunday. Coverage can be seen on the NFL Network. What do you make of the Alliance American Football League's decision to sign Johnny Manziel? Let us know your thoughts below.
