Yankees Sign Mark Prior
Well the Yankees couldn't get Cliff Lee and they essentially ignored Carl Crawford. So they have decided to do the next best thing: sign Mark Prior.
The team agreed to a minor league deal with Prior yesterday. According to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN, the second overall pick from the 2001 draft will earn $750,000 if he makes it to the big club during the season. Prior's career has spiraled downhill ever since his 2003 All-Star season, when he went 18-6.
