All week long at 104.5 The Team and 1045theteam.com, we have been helping you get ready for baseball season by talking to a different Capital Region native each day as they prepare to head to Spring Training.

On Monday, we talked to JP Sportman (Athletics/La Salle) and yesterday we spoke to Jaime Schultz (Rays/Maple Hill). Today, we head back to the Patroon Conference to talk to Justin Brantley, the Hudson High School product in the Cleveland Indians system.

Brantley is the cousin of Indians all-star outfielder Michael Brantley.

He is entering his third professional baseball season and could start the year at the AA level after a solid 2015 campaign at High-A Lynchburg. He appeared in 39 games as a reliever, pitching to a 2.84 ERA. He also had five wins out of the bullpen.

Brantley played his college baseball at Siena before going undrafted. We asked him if he plays with a chip on his shoulder as a result of that.
