This week  the Boston Red Sox lost a valuable asset in GM Theo Epstein when he made the move from Boston to Chicago.  Sox owner John Henry said he did everything that he could in order to keep Theo around.

According to ESPN The Magainze's Buster Olney, Theo Epstein and the Chicago Cubs have agreed to a five-year, nearly $20 million deal for him to join the team.

This might be the most overblown story in sports history.  Steve Bartman was partly to blame for the Cubs collapse in '03, yet he's the only one who has been tortured by "fans".

I'm not a big fan of throwing the ball back into the stands after a homerun.  I think it's a pretty lame tradition in baseball. But yesterday, a Cubs fan proved that throwing the ball back after an opponent's homerun can be quite entertaining.

So if you could get into a time machine and witness any baseball moment in history, what would yours be?

Unlike VCU's suspect NCAA Tournament berth, head coach Shaka Smart earned his invitation to sing, "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."  He's a little too stiff with the "1-2-3" at the :56 second mark.

So after losing out on Carl Crawford and Cliff Lee, the Yankees' offseason woes couldn't get any worse... or could they?
