It's the third straight perfect conference season for the Danes, who are now 13-2 overall. Those 13 wins are the most regular season wins for the Danes in the Division I era. They previously had 12 wins in 2007.

The win also gives the Danes their sixth regular season title in the America East conference.

“We talked everyday about playing our standard,” said UAlbany coach Scott Marr told UAlbanysports.com, who has been at the helm for all six of UAlbany’s America East regular season titles. “[Our seniors] saw the older guys holding that tradition, and we want to play at that same level and intensity.”

Lyle Thompson, the reigining Tewaaraton Award winner, scored three goals in the win. He now has 92 points, the fourth-greatest point total in a single-season at UAlbany.

The Danes are the No. 1 seed in the league tournament, which is Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Bob Ford Field.
