The field for the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest is hot garbage.  It's so bad that calling it "hot garbage" is actually mild.  The contest has gone from hot Anna Nicole Smith to horrid Anna Nicole Smith.

The list of who's-not-who participants in the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest is embarrassing.  It's so bad that Jeremy Evans of the Utah Jazz is a late fill-in.  As of February 23rd, Jeremy Evans has only appeared in three games this season for the Jazz.  He has only played 11 minutes for the entire year.  Evans has only scored one point.  One point?  One?  This is brutal.
.
Jeremy Evans will have to the dunk the ball with his feet for this 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest to be successful.  Evans (and the field) will have to go above and beyond because they are the furthest thing from actual headline names like LeBron James and Blake Griffin.  It's too bad the dunk contest has gone down the toilet horribly.  If the NBA can't get some big names in this thing, just scrap it.
