Albany Empire Season Kicks Off This Saturday

The 2019 Albany Empire season kicks off this weekend. Last year, in the franchise's inaugural season, the Empire were able to win the regular season title but lost in the semi-final round of the playoffs. This season, the team returns multiple stand out players from last season including

Defensive Player of the Year: Terrance Moore

Rookie and Wide Reciever of the Year: Malachi Jones

Defensive Lineman of the Year: Joe Sykes

Offensive Lineman of the Year: Hayworth Hicks

This season includes the addition of new two franchises: The Atlantic City Blackjacks and the Columbus Destroyers. The Empire kick off this Saturday for their home game of the season inside the Times Union Center against Columbus at 7pm
