Albany Falls to Maine, Remains Nationally Ranked

The UAlbany Great Danes lost to the Maine Black Bears this past Saturday 20-16. The Great Danes have now suffered their second loss in a row after falling to the Richmond Spiders the previous weekend in triple overtime. Despite the loss, the Great Danes remained nationally ranked in this week's FCS coaches poll. The Great Danes fell six spots from seventh overall to twenty third overall. The Great Danes can jump back up in the national poll if they can win this weekend when they travel to take on Villanova. The Wildcats currently sit sixteenth in the country and at 5-2 overall. Villanova's only losses came against FBS level Pittsburgh and the sixth ranked Richmond Spiders at the FCS level. Kickoff is set for 3pm this Saturday.
