I am very much looking forward to the 2025 UAlbany football season under new "Interim" head coach Jared Ambrose.  I was at spring practice on Wednesday afternoon and I was very impressed.  Jared is a very likeable guy and a very proven and terrific offensive coordinator.  He has total control of the team and his coaches.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

UAlbany head football coach Jared Ambrose is going to do a great job replacing former head coach Greg Gattuso. Spring practice on Tuesday was upbeat and enthusiastic with players having fun getting ready for a new season. The tempo will be different in the summer, but Ambrose created the right climate for Spring ball. Sophomore quarterback Van Weber will be challenged for the starting job, but the receiving chore is very strong. Glens Falls running back Griffin Woodell looks more than ready for a bounce back season after injuries hammered his sophomore season.

It will be a pretty tough schedule and another strong year out of the CAA Conference with a bunch of very good teams.  The season starts on August 30th with a road trip to Iowa which will be awesome.  Former head coach and my good friend Greg Gattuso has showed his appreciation and well wished toward his now former offensive coordinator in Ambrose.  I am confident he will have a great season and be extended long term here at UAlbany.  I can't wait for the season to begin.
