Barry Melrose Talks Union Hockey on 104.5 The Team
ESPN Hockey analyst Barry Melrose joined Armen and Levack on Wednesday afternoon to preview Union vs. Boston College in the Frozen Four Thursday at 5pm.
"I see a great team against a team with a great line," said Melrose. "Union is probably the oldest team here. They're very solid and don't beat themselves. All four lines contribute.
"BC has that one line. They have a lot of good players but obviously the [Johnny] Gaudreau carries BC."
Melrose, who will be the color commentator for ESPN's Frozen Four coverage, has known Rick Bennett for many years and admires what he's done so far with Union.
"He's stamped a team his style. They're most aggressive with Rick, they have more creative freedom with Rick and also he's taken over a successful team and made it his own. I respect that."
On Thursday afternoon, Armen and Levack will be LIVE from Nico's Rooftop Tavern in Schenectady for a Union watching party. So what's the proper food to eat while watching college hockey?

"I'm a very simple man," said Melrose. "If I go and watch sports, I'm a beer and popcorn guy. I want to be munching on something but don't want to be stuffed. Bud Light and peanuts or popcorn would be my meal."
Melrose owns a house in Glens Falls and lives there during the summer, occasionally frequenting the horse track.
