Big Blue Give Green Light for Full Capacity at Metlife

Break out the face paint and the charcoal grill, because MetLife Stadium will be over 80,000 strong once again come the fall.

The New York Giants announced on their team website the following guidelines:

"As permitted by current New Jersey policies on businesses and gatherings, MetLife Stadium will open at full capacity this NFL season without requiring face coverings, proof of vaccination, or proof of a negative COVID test. In addition, to reduce touchpoints, MetLife Stadium will operate cash free at all concession stands and retail operations. Reverse ATM machines will be available to convert cash to debit cards. Tailgating will also be permitted. We will continue to share additional gameday protocols as the NFL season approaches." - New York Giants

As has probably been established in the afternoon on 104.5 The Team, I ditch my Boston sports allegiance come football season, and grew up rooting for the New York Giants. As I've grown up, I've played fantasy football, watched RedZone with friends, and become a big fan of football as a whole through both of these ventures.

Football just didn't feel right last year.

Now, with fans flocking back to stadiums across the country, the fall will truly feel back to normal when Week 1 kicks off. Not only this, but the Giants will be rolling out an exciting new offense surrounding Daniel Jones, with weapons everywhere you turn. Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton are joined by free agent signings Kenny Golladay and John Ross, and first round draft Kadarius Toney. Evan Engram has some help as well, with veteran Kyle Rudolph joining the tight end group.

Oh, yeah, and Saquon is back healthy, too. That's pretty cool.
