New York Giants owner John Mara stated on Monday morning that he is keeping both general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll.  The decision won't please the fanbase at all as most of the fans wanted them both fired after the Ginats absolutely dreadful 3-14 season in their centennial 100th season all time.  The fans deserve better and I'm not sure they will be much better in 2025.  They have to get a quarterback in the offseason or through the draft.  They have the third overall pick instead of the first after beating the Colts and will most likely have to trade up if they want to get either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

I was surprised when the Giants decided not to fire head coach Brian Daboll after a three-win season. It was an embarrassing season from start to finish and their first mistake was not signing star running back Saquon Barkley. Co-owner John Mara is showing patience by not cleaning but both Daboll and Joe Schoen will be on a very short leash in 2025 because 2024 was unacceptable and can't happen again. Giants need to get back in the business winning Super Bowls. I covered their last Championship season in 2012. That's a long time ago.

I really hope that the Giants are better in 2025 because I want to go cover another Super Bowl.  But in all seriousness the pressure is on for the Giants organization because the owners are out of patience and want to see improvement now.
