Bryce Harper Returns To Washington DC Tonight

After signing a thirteen year, 330 million dollar contract this off-season, Bryce Harper returns to the nation's capital tonight. Harper and his squad the Philadelphia Phillies face Harper's former team, the Washington Nationals, for the first time this season. Just a few months, sources had speculated that the Nationals had offered Harper a 10 year 300 million contract to stay with the franchise, Instead, Harper took a deal with an NL east foe for less money per year but more years on the contract.

Earlier this week, Harper spoke to the Washington Post about the strange return to DC,

It’s definitely going to be weird. I can’t imagine flying into the airport, into Dulles, and taking that 45-minute drive to stay in a hotel instead of my place

First pitch between the Phillies and Nationals is set for 7:05pm tonight.
