Can UAlbany Men’s Basketball Win The America East Tournament?
UAlbany beat Binghamton on Saturday night in a thrilling game at home at the Broadview Center. They advance to the semifinals for the first time in nine years. Head coach Dwayne Killings got his first playoff win in his fourth year at UAlbany. It was a great night all around for the Great Danes community and program. Now the Danes visit and take on the top seed Bryant Bulldogs on the road where they have won before back in February. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
UAlbany men’s basketball team with the way their playing can win the America East Championship. The Great Danes have won 5 of its last 7 and own a road win over Bryant who they will meet in Tuesday’s Semifinal round. The Great Danes will have to win a shoot-out which is the style they prefer to play anyway because both teams have plenty of answers offensively. Head Coach Dwayne Killings got the big one out the way by winning his first America East quarterfinal game on Saturday and now the pressure is off. UAlbany has the talent to win two more games and reach the NCAA Tournament.

Now UAlbany can play with house money on Tuesday night and play loose and try and take down Bryant. It will be a tall order on paper but they are more than capable of pulling off the upset and advancing to the America East championship. It is March and crazier things have happened.
