Albany Area Local Sports This Weekend

The Tri-City Valley Cats take the baseball world by storm with #1 draft pick Mark Appel making his pro debut on Friday vs. Lowell.  The Valley Cats also play Saturday against Lowell and Sunday-Tuesday against Aberdeen.   

Also on Friday, Guilderland girls’ lacrosse coach Gary Chatnik will be inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Adirondack Chapter Hall of Fame.  Steve Hart will also be inducted.  Both Chatnik and Hart are former Siena lacrosse standouts.

On local radio, be sure to hear UFC's Chris Weidman with our Brian Cady on Cady's Corner on 104.5 The Team at 10 a.m. on Saturday.  Following that is New York Yankees Weekly from 11a-12p.
