Gerry McNamara Has Siena Playing Very Tough Every Game
This Siena Saints men's basketball team plays very tough and that is a reflection of their head coach Gerry McNamara. He was such a tough player and a tough assistant coach at Syracuse for many years. Now he has won back the fanbase and has them all bought in and I expect a huge crowd on Friday at MVP Arena. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
Siena head coach Gerry McNamara would like to see a few more wins this season but the fan base is bought in. Siena is 5-1 at home in the MAAC this season and Friday's showdown with rival Marist will produce the biggest crowd of the season. Siena defends at a high level and when there making shots can be a very dangerous team. Gmac gets maximum effort from his players and the Siena faithful appreciate that. Saints have lost a lot of close games this season like two weeks ago at Marist. The tide is due to change, especially when playing at MVP Arena where they have played much better than on the road.

Siena will be a very tough out in the MAAC Conference tournament as they give you their very best. MJ and I really enjoy our interviews with GMac at Siena every Wednesday at 12 noon all set up by the great Mike Demos. He is a regular and very likeable guy and the Siena community have fully embraced him and his family. I hope people pack the MVP Arena on Friday at 7 p.m.
