The New York Yankees have decided to leave Left Handed pitcher CC Sabathia off of their ALDS roster. This actually came as a bit of a surprise to me. Sabathia has made it clear he came back for one more run at the World Series and he believed this team could win it. So When Yankees' manager Aaron Boone said the big lefty would sit out this round he was clear with his reason why.

Boone said this was about Sabathia's shoulder and not his ability to pitch. Boone said “It’s actually more shoulder not bouncing back, just wasn’t bouncing back as well as we would’ve hoped in Texas.” So not the typical knee issue CC has been dealing. This reason leaves the door open to Sabathia potentially pitching in the ALCS or even the World Series IF the Yankees make it that far and IF he's physically ready to go.
